Cell Biolabs Inc NAD+/NADH Assay Kit (Fluorometric), 100 assays
Cell Biolabs’ NAD+/NADH Assay Kit (Fluorometric) is a simple assay that measures NAD+ and NADH present in biological samples such as cell lysates or tissue extracts in a 96-well fluorescence plate reader. The kit is specific for NAD+, NADH, and their ratio. The kit will not detect NADP+ or NADPH. The total NAD+/NADH concentrations of unknown samples are determined by comparison with a known NAD+ standard. Determination of both NAD+ and NADH requires two separate samples for quantification. NAD+ and NADH do not need to be purified from samples, but rather can be extracted individually with a simple acid or base treatment prior to performing the assay. The kit has a detection sensitivity limit of approximately 0.8 nM NAD+. Each kit provides sufficient reagents to perform up to 100 assays, including blanks, NAD+ standards and unknown samples.
Cell Biolabs Inc CytoSelect™ 24-Well Cell Migration and Invasion Assay Combo Kit (8 µm, Fluorometric), 2x12 assays
Chemotaxis, a type of cell migration, is a highly integrated, multistep process that orchestrates embryonic morphogenesis, tissue repair and regeneration. Cell invasion is the ability of malignant tumor cells to invade normal surrounding tissue, which contributes in large part to the significant morbidity and mortality of cancers. The CytoSelect™ Cell Migration and Invasion Assay Kit utilizes polycarbonate membrane inserts (8 µm pore size) to assay the invasive properties of cells. The kit contains twelve 8 um uncoated polycarbonate membrane inserts, and another twelve 8 um polycarbonate membrane inserts coated with an ECM gel layer in a 24-well plate. Cells must degrade the ECM layer and then move through the pores of the membrane. Invasive cells are then quantified using the provided fluorometric dye.
